Elfin Kingdom
Welcome to the Elfin Kingdom
Currently in Open BETA, Elfin Kingdom is a new game that feels like an old friend. Inspired by the Pokemon universe, in this Blockchain game players can earn by stacking, battling, exploring, capturing, and selling Elfins in a colorful game world with simple yet fun mechanics that are evolving together with feedback from its players.
Meet the Elfins
Elfins are magical creatures that inhabit the game's world. According to the game lore, the world needs people to confront the problems and show the world that it’s possible to live sharing with elfins and nature. It’s in the Adventure mode of the game, the only currently available, that players can explore the world and learn more about what makes Elfins so unique and necessary to the ecosystem.
Elfins Traits
Elfins possess Class, Rarity, Level, Evolution, Power, Stats, Parts, Skills, and Stars.
There are currently Five Classes of Elfins: Fire, Grass, Lighting, Super, and Water. Those classes will determine the general type of Elfins and their skills.
Rarity has four levels: N, R, SR, and SSR. This attribute is closely related to the general composition of the Elfin. The better his other attributes are, the higher his Rarity.
Level is a measure of the amount of Battles the Elfin has fought. Elfins evolve by fighting each other and other creatures, so the higher the level of an Elfin, the higher amount of battles they faced.
Evolution represents where the Elfin is in the scale of its final form. Some Elfins will have 2, 3, or more stages, the Evolution attribute shows where the Elfin is on those stages.
Power is a number that is used as a measure of how strong an Elfin is all around, battle-wise.
Stats are numeric and tier representations of characteristics for Elfins. All Elfins have 6 stats: HP, DEF, RES, ATK, INT, SPD. The first three are “defense-related”, HP is the total amount of life, Def (Defense) the amount of Normal Damage it blocks, Res (Resistance) the amount of Special Damage it can block. The latter three are “attack-related”, ATK (attack) regards the amount of Normal Damage, INT (Intelligence) the amount of Special Damage, SPD (Speed) how fast the Elfin can act, its priority order of attacking in fights.
Parts are an element players of Axie Infinity will recognize instantly. All Elfins have 8 parts and those alter their physical appearance as well as their rarity levels, but it’s not clear at this moment if the parts have any influence over Stats, Skills, or other elements.
These creatures also possess special abilities called Skills, used in battles, that change according to the type of Elfin, and even the same type of Elfin will have different skill values.
Lastly, Stars are a visual representation of how close to its top form an Elfin is. It’s related to their Evolution, but it seems to take more than that into consideration, we hope it become more clear as the game continues to develop.
The Current BETA
At the moment of this writing, Elfin Kingdom is playable by testing PVE and the Capture Elfins function. In order to battle the little monsters on the map, players will need to capture or purchase their own Elfins, creating a team. You can try to battle with less than three Elfins but the odds of victory will be small.
Capturing Elfins requires a special item, the Elfin Catcher. This item does not guarantee that the Elfin will be captured though and it needs to be purchased with currency. For players that don’t want to take the risk, it’s easier to head to Elfin Kingdom Marketplace and purchase an already tamed Elfin.
Marketplace
The Marketplace is the place to go if you want to pick exactly what kind of Elfin you want. There are all sorts of filters regarding the Class, Rarity, Star, and Stats. The prices range from 0.023 BNB to 1000 BNB at the time of this writing, but most of them are way cheaper.
Battling
Battle system happens in turns, with certain abilities adding Power and others reducing power. Abilities that reduce power are usually more powerful. Monsters and Elfins take turns and the order in which they act is defined by the Speed Stat. After the Battle is over Rewards and XP points are awarded to both Elfins and the Trainer (player).
Participating in Battles uses Stamina, each battle cost 1 stamina point and all trainers have 20 stamina points that reset every day at 00:00 UTC.
KING and $ELFIN
The two currencies of the game are KING, a deflationary currency used to purchase in-game items such as Elfins and Elfin Catchers, you can get them by battling in PvE, completing Daily Quests, or sharing links on Social Media.. There’s a limit to the amount of KING you can obtain in one day. After that limit is reached, even if you continue to battle, you will not be able to get more KING.
$ELFIN is a governance token that will eventually be the token used to purchase farms and Elfins. Unlike KING, which is uncapped, $ELFIN will be capped at 1 billion tokens.
Staking
With the game currently on BETA Testing, Elfin Kingdom developers are creating an interesting way for players to get more rewards. By giving the option of staking multiple currencies, players can earn ELFIN and several other mysterious rewards. There’s not much on that at the moment, but you can select for how long you will stake your currencies, ranging from 10 to 25 days, and can check all the progress your staking is making on the staking activity log on the website.
The Roadmap
Elfin Kingdom Roadmap is available on their website and they keep updates on their Medium blog. At this point in time they are ahead of the schedule, with the BETA on Open status and figuring at the top 10 transaction volume on the last 30 days on the Binance Smart Chain, making them surely a game to be aware of.
All content on this page is based on and/or taken from the game original documentation/whitepaper. Play Portal shares Blockchain games so its readers can get knowledge about the top games available on the market.
